Predictions 2014

First of all, I haven't been following anything this year. At least not that much I used to. Therefore it has been hard to pick up my predictions but here they are.

I think I have too much Selma, The Imitation Game and The Grand Budapest Hotel. But I have no idea where take them away and what to choose instead.

This is my final list:

Best animated feature film of the year

Performance by an actor in a leading role

* Michael Keaton - Birdman
* Eddie Redmayne - The Theory of Everything
* Benedict Cumberbatch - The Imitation Game
* Jake Gyllenhaal - Nightcrawler
* David Oyelowo - Selma

I am not sure about David Oyelowo. The fifth could be Steve Carell or maybe even Ralph Fiennes. Or maybe Jake Gyllenhaal will be left out. 

Performance by an actor in a supporting role


* J. K. Simmons - Whiplash
* Edward Norton - Birdman
* Robert Duvall - The Judge
* Ethan Hawke - Boyhood
* Mark Ruffalo - Foxcatcher

They should all get nominated. 

Performance by an actress in a leading role

* Julianne Moore - Still Alice
* Reese Witherspoon - Wild
* Felicity Jones - The Theory of Everything
* Rosamund Pike - Gone Girl
* Amy Adams - Big Eyes

My instinct tells me that Amy Adams will get in as always. Therefore Jennifer Aniston will not be nominated. 

Performance by an actress in a supporting role

* Patricia Arquette - Boyhood
* Meryl Streep - Into the Woods
* Keira Knightley - The Imitation Game
* Emma Stone - Birdman
* Jessica Chastain - A Most Violent Year

I think they all will get nominated.

Yesterday's DGA made changes to my list. The Academy loves Clint and he will probable get nominated. I also think that they would like to nominate Ava DuVernay.
